I am now.

Well, here's my first attempt at blogging.  I've always been interested in other people's blogs, so I thought it was about time to publish my own.  That, and the fact that my first assignment for my Project Management course is to create a blog!  So, really the timing is perfect!

Anyhoo, for my first posting, I thought I'd take a couple of minutes to introduce myself.  My name is Mike Graf and I just recently moved to Greenwood Village, CO.  GV (as I like to call it), is a suburb of Denver, located about 20 miles or so North of downtown.  For the past 5 years I had been living it up on the beaches of California, but not too long ago, I decided it was time for a change and, luckily, got hooked up with a great company here in beautiful Colorado.

I definitely miss my friends and family in California, but I'm finding Colorado to be nicely suited to my needs!  I love being outdoors, whether  it's hiking, mountain biking, camping, wandering aimlessly, hitchhiking, loitering...OK, I think you get the point!  And so far the weather here has been amazing!  I'm not necessarily looking forward to winter (I'm originally from Michigan, so I SHOULD be OK), but I am looking forward to frolicking (Yeah, I said it) in the snow and picking up skiing again.

Since I moved out here I've rediscovered ice hockey, which has been a lot of fun, and I'm finding that I've got quite a few friends from past lives living in the area.  I suppose that's one of the perks of being ex-Air Force!

I should also mention that I'm a huge sports freak!  I'm completely loyal to all the Michigan professional sports teams, though rooting for the Lions is more painful than you could possibly know.  And I'm a Michigan State Spartan through and through, and I'm so thankful (read: relieved) that we beat the University of Michigan in football this year!  Onward to the Rose Bowl!  A guy can hope, right??!!
